Facebook on the other side of the ocean

allstarrmultimedia

This info--yes, I know releasing this on 4/11 may be humorous to some!--is about some Facebook issues, from BBC.

Just reading this, and I have to wonder. IMO, don't put information out on the web, that you don't want people to know, and tell those around you to do the same. Don't post your address (you probably shouldn't post more than your state), your phone, etc. You may want to go to an event, but you may want to be careful about actually responding directly to the event.

You want to be sure the site has https (the s being "secured"), using SSL, or similar technology. If you are unsure about a company, and it doesn't have the above, don't submit personal/financial information. That's not to say that the site is bad. After all, many small business sites may not encrypt, because they don't handle personal information, and as such, don't have a reason to encrypt. It is best to send any such info, even if by email, to encrypt, or to a host that encrypts it or keeps it "on server," like Protonmail. BTW, not an affiliate link.
