This is also a time for reflection, for some. What have you accomplished, this year? Was the leap year of interest to you? Did federal, state, and local elections turn out how you hoped, or were there at least enough things that came out to your political designs? We won't get (overly) political on this site. This is something just for you, and you alone, to reflect upon.
How has finances gone? Have you gotten the work to go the way you wanted? What about being self employed? Do you have a self-directed IRA, or if you're self employed, a SoloK? Does your employer, or do you, have a Health Savings Account, flexible spending account, or Health Reimbursement Account? Did you know that you can, with some restrictions, use the SDIRA, SoloK, and HSA to invest, such as in a business (or to expand it), commercial paper (owner mortgages), real estate, precious metals, etc?
If you own a home, have you ever looked into home equity line of credit, home equity loan, cash out refi, or home equity sharing?
