Earth Sees First Image Of A Black Hole. And no, this doesn't have to do with the IRS, on this day...at least, I don't think so. This one is at the center of the Virgo Galaxy, 55 million light years from us. I don't think I'll be vacationing there, anytime soon.
Of note is that the project was coordinated on four continents, and it's 100 billion kilometers across.
