Methuselah, in the bible, is the oldest person recorded in the bible, having lived to be 969, perhaps an interesting number?
Methuselah was the son of righteous Enoch. Enoch is one of only two people in Scripture who did not die but were transported miraculously into heaven. The other, Elijah, was taken up to God in a whirlwind. When Enoch was 65, he became the father of Methuselah. Methuselah had a son named Lamech, who became the father of Noah.
Other than the basics above, little else seems to be know or spoken about him. Curious, I went search, and found some interesting information on Wikipedia. This also brought about one of the related links, with other "age myths."
Otherwise, other than the extra bit of information on the Wikipedia link, The apocryphal Book of Enoch, Slavonic Enoch, and others on that link, there isn't much on him. I find it interesting that the longest living person in The Bible would have so little on him.
