New Name+Host, Same Mission.

Greetings, seekers of knowledge, truth, righteousness, and working on a path towards getting closer to God. Previously, we had been operating as 7th Day Free Will Church Of God.

However, as we move forward, and decide on how to move forward, we've decided to transition from Wordpress to Wix, to have a site that's a little more than just "static," and on a new name.

Amos, author of the Book of Amos, which is part of the Twelve Minor Prophets in the Old Testament. He was a shepherd and a fig tree farmer, which is notable because he did not come from a priestly or prophetic lineage. This background emphasizes that he was an ordinary man called by God to deliver His messages.

This seems appropriate, as not everyone who is called to do God's work is "destined from birth," and it is often the "ordinary that becomes extraordinary." Too often, the "formally educated" become caught up in what "they think this means," instead of focusing on the work at hand, deeds to do, and listening to God. They have their interpretations, and believe only that they are right. Ultimately, the only True judge is God, and we cannot know His mind. We can only do our best to follow His words and guidance, and treat others as we feel are aligned with that guidance.
