I encourage you to add the information about your state for public/government official surety bonds (sometimes "officers") here:
While they do exist, as these show, expect a LOT of resistance. Clerks of the court will either claim ignorance (real or not), or give you the run around. In NE, it's supposed to be kept with the Secretary of State, yet their office hasn't been cooperative. I've, as of yet, had a response back from the governor's office and my state rep.
I hope that in sharing this, and making more widespread, we can start getting justice.
IDK if there is something similar in other nations, so encourage those who are there, to share what they learn.
