This past weekend, we fellow-shipped with a group over in Idaho. Plummer, ID, to be specific. Plummer is in Benewah County, and about 10 miles south of the CDA Casino. It's always nice to meet with others who celebrate The Sabbath!

Interesting tidbit: in Spanish Saturday is el sábado, The Sabbath. For the longest time, I had always wondered why, in Genesis, it said to rest on "The Seventh Day," and yet church was on Sunday, the first day. I never received a satisfactorily answer, until I came across various 7th Day keepers, aka, Sabbath Keepers. It was an interesting reveal, to be sure. It also created a lot of difficulties, of sorts. Many people in the US have Friday evening, up through Saturdays, as days to party, or otherwise burn off steam from the stress of the work or school week. Further, many venues open late, close early on Sundays. It makes adaptations, especially early on, rather difficult, to say the least.

This past weekend, we did do something fun, visiting the lake for the first time this season. Admittingly, it was still rather cold, being still early summer. Going entirely under water, and coming back up...now that was brisque! It was nice to spend some time just chilling--very literally!--with the family. Sometimes, it seems we all get busy, wrapped up in life's daily escapades, that we need to take a day or so, to help us refocus, and to be able to really enjoy life. Going swimming in the lake with my wife and son allowed some of that.
